I'm settled in Cleveland, sitting on my blow-up mattress withh all my belongings tucked into the closet or in boxes snug against the walls. This is home now. Chen asked me earlier this week if I felt like Chicago was home or if I felt like a tourist (we had been there probably 24 hours) and I reflected that I had been so many places this summer, I felt at home pretty quickly wherever I was. So here's the after graduation list:
NY, Inwood: these were beautiful weeks in which Chelsea made a pan of homemade lavander chocolate every single night.
Cleveland, the Hegewalds house:there for 3 days, but felt like on of the crew. This branch is full of saints.
Scotland (Maryland): first the Little House, then the Big House, Cabin 3,and back to the Big House... inspiring, passionate kids and the most hilarious and real team of teachers. A month of cafeteria food, masterclasses and evenings on the dock. Oh, and internet outings to Panera Bread.
Washington, D.C. stayed in 3 hotels in one week, lost my seminary scriptures, and finally got to swim. Choreographed and stage managed musical RUKA at the Boys and Girls Club.
NY, Inwood: my own bed, my own sheets. Unpacked and repacked. happy to be home and see Chelsea. The beginning of the Silly Band craze and Mykal came and helped me dye my hair red.
Cleveland, Ohio: Drove a rented 4 door 8 hours with all of my belongings. learned repertory during the day and played cards at night.
NY, Res Hall. Back in the dorms, but this time in style. faculty suite style. Rehearsals. Chelsea makes a pan of lavender chocolate for old times sake.
Chicago, Il: company class on-stage, amazing professionals. We KILLED Last Look and the Chicago Tribune called us all "pros"
Cleveland, Ohio: for the last and final time. and now this is home for a good chunk of time. Looks like the roommates are either engaged or soon to be engaged so I'll be all alone in a huge 2 bedroom. come visit.
